Good news for once!

Are we all sitting down??? One of the owners of where I work came in this morning and told me that they decided to give us Monday off after all!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! I almost kissed him!!! Earlier they told us that we weren't getting any holiday's off because of the fact that they fell on a Sunday this year. I am so excited!!!!!

Now back to my normal complaining and ramblings...

Has anyone else notice how expensive it is to rent a movie nowadays? I went into Blockbuster the other night, got 4 movies and my total was like $19! I couldn't believe it! Each rental was $4.29 plus tax! Heck, a matinee at the movie theatre is only $5.00!

We rented The Island, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Must Love Dogs and Stealth. We watched the Island and it was a great movie! The Virgin was extremely dirty, so much so that we nearly turned it off, but about midway through there were a couple of scenes that were so hilarious that I nearly peed my pants! We haven't watched the other 2 yet but will this weekend...

I'm busily working on a hat for my swap partner over at C'Ville and a nice shawl for myself made from the Ticker Tape I got at Michaels on sale. I have 5 skeins total and I hope it's enough. If not, I'll have to break down and buy a couple more. So far it's a little challenging working with the stuff but I like the way it looks as it's working up.

Dr's who guess...

Well after having tons of tests done, my Dr. still doesn't know why I have nerve damage in my leg and doesn't sound too concerned about it! He wants me to have Physical Therapy done but how can we treat this if we don't know where the problem is coming from? I have no choice now but to break down and get a 2nd opinion. I hate to do this as I really like Dr. Kim, but I can't risk me health on someone who's "guessing"... Not only that but one thing has bugged me about him for years. He's constantly pushing expensive prescriptions down patients throats. I remember a few years ago he wanted me to stop taking Imitrex and take this "new" migraine medicine. Problem is that that medicine wasn't approved on my plan and it would have cost me over $45 for just 5 pills! He insisted so I got it and it didn't help at all. He's always trying to get you off the "cheap" pills and wants you to take the most expensive ones. I wonder if he's in with the drug companies or something...

I hit my sales mark the other day at work and when my boss found out he said "I'll have to look into that" What is there to look into??? I printed out the report that shows I hit the mark... He honestly didn't think I was going to hit it and he promised me a nice bonus when I did so hopefully I'll get that soon...

Part of our job is preparing taxes and we are new doing it this year. It has been like pulling teeth to explain to customers why they don't want to get them done at H&R Block... I've been so frustrated with people being so argumentative when I simply give them a coupon to have them done with a discount and when I simply mention it... UGH!

I'm excited about New Years for one reason. JUNK FOOD without guilt! I am going to make my Frito Dip which is basically a pgk of cream cheese covered in Hormel Chili (no beans) and topped with shredded cheese. You bake til hot and dip Fritos in it! YUMMY!

I am still looking for a pattern to use my Ticker Tape on. I may try to sneak 2 more skeins of it at Michaels tonite which whould bring my total to 4... Maybe I could make something with that... I hope!

I'm back!

Ok, well I have been taking a break from blogging for awhile and decided to try and get back into the swing of things...

With the main part of Christmas over I am in "me me me" mode! I started working on the Sunburst Poncho from SCC and am loving how it's turning out so far! I'm using Caron's SS in White, Light Pink and Watermelon and the colors are just so bright! Can't wait to finish it!

The In-Laws are all coming over on Sunday to celebrate Christmas and I have one more present to finish. I've been toiling with a pillow in the shape of a football for one of my nephews and have been having such a hard time. I'm trying something new right now and hopefully it'll turn out.

Santa was very good to me this year! I got my Bob Ross master paint set which I am super excited about! I took my first Bob Ross class last year and had such a great time. I'm hoping I can do even half as well without an instructor! I also got Seinfeld Seasons 5&6 on DVD as well as Star Wars III. My brother and his wife sent me the Star Wars Pez Dispenser set which is awesome! My best friend sent me a bunch of neat Beauty and the Beast things which I love!

I recently made Tweety another sweater which I like best of all of them and even though I finished Fozzy's sweater last night, it is STILL too big! He's got weird shaping so I need to really tweak the pattern to get it to fit right.

I hope to update my blog a little more than I have been but we'll see...
